PROWESS

In the crucible of life's demanding fray,

Where fortune hides and hopes delay,

None of the virtues sought after true,

Shall grace the passive, the stagnant few.

Peace, discipline, confidence so grand,

Grit's silent strength escapes the hand,

No swift escape, no painless play,

Only through relentless execution may they stay.

No easy way, no painless lane,

Yet in the fire of daily strain,

A way emerges, stern and strong,

For those who dare to right the wrong.

How bad you want it, the crucial key,

In forging success's elusive decree,

For in the furnace of unyielding desire,

These virtues bloom, in hearts afire.
